Courtesy visit to H.E. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts

On Thursday, April 5, 2024, our members visited H.E. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts.

Japan Cambodia Association President Takahashi and H.E. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts were delighted to reunite after their visit in September 2023.
We also discussed future cooperation, etc.

H.E. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, spoke as follows:
・I want to spread Cambodian culture overseas
・To achieve this, we must first deepen our knowledge and understanding of our own culture within our own country.

From JCA, Chairman H.E. Takahashi and Secretary General Mr. Kato reported on the establishment of the Cambodia office.
We aim to further strengthen support for the expansion of Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises. We also continue to invite not only private companies but also local governments.

JCA corporate members also made reports and suggestions.
・Next Make Co., Ltd., an IT company, proposed a system for environmental business.
・SY Mihara Co., Ltd., a recycling company, made a proposal to improve the garbage problem that has become a serious problem in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
・We proposed public relations activities using SNS such as TikTok and Facebook.
・iLBRiLLE Co., Ltd. reported on the beauty school they opened in Phnom Penh. In the future, we will develop Khmer massage that adds value to Khmer traditional culture.

JCA will continue to strive to strengthen its cooperative structure with Cambodia.
