(Reference) Activities of the Japan Association of Cambodia:
- Since 1988, the association has published the annual newsletter “Cambodia” (102 issues in total) and disseminated it widely to the public (300-500 copies). The journal introduces Cambodia to the general public by providing information on various fields related to Cambodia, in addition to MISHOP’s research and surveys on Cambodia.
- Introduce Cambodia and Japan-Cambodia relations in Japan and Cambodia through lectures, seminars, etc., and interviews with media organizations.
- JCA has sent field missions to Cambodia (1989, 1992, 1994, 1999, etc.) to study the situation in Cambodia (9 days to 2 weeks each). On those occasions and during short-term visits to Cambodia (2001, 2002, 2003, 2009, etc.), he has met with His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah NORODOM, King of Cambodia, His Royal Highness Samdech Krom Preah Norodom Ranariddh, Prime Minister of Cambodia, H.E. Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia and other leaders to promote bilateral relations.
- After becoming a general incorporated association, the first inspection group was held in 2019, the second inspection group was held in 2022, and the third inspection group was held in 2023. JCA has held talks with His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, H.E. Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and H.E. Samdech Mohabovor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia to promote bilateral relations.
