Announcement regarding the Cambodia Festival and our association’s cooperation

As you are aware, this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Cambodia, and various commemorative events are being held in both countries. In order to ensure the smooth operation of these commemorative events, a 70th Anniversary Events Executive Committee has been established, and our association’s Chairman Takahashi serves as its co-chair along with Ambassador Lee of Cambodia to Japan and Secretary-General Hirabayashi of the ASEAN-Japan Center. In addition, three people from our association are participating in the executive committee.

These three organizations will further deepen their cooperative relationship and support the holding of various commemorative events toward the same goal of enlivening the relationship between Japan and Cambodia. I would like to give you this.

Now, the “Cambodia Festival” has been held every year. The first event was held in 2015, and after self-restraint due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was held for the first time in three years in 2022. In 2023, preparations are underway to hold the 7th event at Yoyogi Park, a pleasant place in early summer, in the midst of Golden Week.

It is no exaggeration to say that this event is the largest festival held once a year between the two peoples, and we hope that you will enjoy it if you come to visit us. Additionally, this year’s event is scheduled to be held as part of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Cambodia.

Therefore, we would like to invite all members of our association, companies and individuals who are deeply involved in Cambodia, to participate.
