Dinner meeting with H.E. Sun Chanthol Deputy Prime Minister

H.E. Sun Chanthol Deputy Prime Minister visited Japan for a seminar organized by the ASEAN-Japan Center on May 8, 2024.
We received a request for a meeting through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and held this meeting.

When opening the JCA Cambodia office, we shared the purpose in December 2023.
This time, along with H.E. Sun Chanthol Deputy Prime Minister, representatives from the following organizations also visited Japan.
・Cambodian Oknha Association
・Cambodia Chamber of Commerce
・Federation of Associations for SMEs of Cambodia

Since it is important to meet local business partners, we held discussions regarding mutual collaboration with various associations.

Utilizing the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers in Cambodia will provide a new transportation network, and we discussed the expected effects on Japanese companies.

H.E. Sun Chanthol Deputy Prime Minister also serves as CDC First Vice Chairman.
Going forward, we plan to use a one-stop online process to apply for Qualified Investment Projects, which are eligible for preferential tax and customs treatment for investment-promoted industries.
His Excellency said, “If Japanese companies come to CDC, we will provide support.”
